CROCOITE. Adelaide Mine, Dundas, Tasmania. 15x20x25mm (M479)
Officially proclaimed "The Mineral Emblem of Tasmania" in Dec 2000 by the Governor of the day, Sir Guy Green. Crocoite is a rare mineral (lead chromate) found on the west coast of Tasmania. It is one of the worlds prettiest minerals well deserving of this title as the state emblem.

Specimen is attached to a white base (40mm x 40mm) with clear perspex cover and label.
