Lunaris Gemstones specialises in Tasmanian mineral specimens such as stichtite and crocoite(Tasmania's Mineral Emblem), including gemstones, Tasmanian fossils and crystals, some of which is sourced by ourselves, and presented to you as natural specimens, unique jewellery pieces, ornamentals and decorative items.
We stock a variety of gem material - rough, polished and cabochons - plus a wide selection of Tasmanian facetted stones. Minerals (crystallised specimens) and fossils from other parts of Australia and from around the world add to the range.
Our rock shop is 100kms. from Hobart - sign-posted at the turn-off to Hastings Caves. Driving time from Hobart approx. 90 minutes.
We attend Salamanca Market most Saturdays - 8.30am - 3pm - (at the Davey St. end of the market, next to St. David's Park).
Opening hours: Most days 9 - 5. We recommend that you call beforehand, to confirm - 0447 001 601 (We also notify Hastings and Geeveston Visitor Centres when we will be closed)
