Our rock shop at Lune River will close, but Lunaris will continue... November 05 2025

Where have those three decades gone, since we built our rock shop and opened our gem, mineral and fossil business - Lunaris Gemstones? Time seems to have passed quickly, compared to the ages of many of the specimens that have filled the shop. It has been heartening to have had such a place full of beautiful stones and crystals, as well as the rich heritage of fossils, to further rivet us back along earth's creative pathways.

We now announce, that we'll be closing our shop at Lune River on  JANUARY 31st 2026. 

People from around the world have visited our shop over those years...many visitors too, unfamiliar with earth history and geological processes, have been able to view natural crystals, minerals and fossils and learn more about what lies in the ground. 

Sharing our knowledge and enthusiasm for fossicking, with those keen to find their own, has also been rewarding.

We are grateful to everyone who supported our business at Lune River. 

Our stall at Salamanca Market will continue, along with our Lunaris online shop.
