BOOK 'Lune River Gems and Fossils Tasmania' by Ross Jones (B6)

Lune River's geology is further revealed in a second book by Ross Jones. A pictorial book show-casing the wide range of chalcedony, agates, quartz  and fossil wood found. Whilst  some photos show natural specimens, the majority are cut and polished. The rare fossil fern is featured, including a chapter showing thin cross-sections of root and trunk specimens. The book reflects decades of digging and interest in this gem-field - finding Early Jurassic treasures, in Tasmania's Far South.
